Not such a bad job after all

i was "forced" to use a computer (hp pavilion) running vista home premium for about a month now working on a project that requires some edgy rhino4 and cs3 work, and, although i have a mild fear and loathing towards (almost) everything that is microsoft, i am actually satisfied with it, under circumstances..
after years on os x, aero is not the prettiest thing (for me) but nicer then xp (i use classic interface, 95, when using xp, cannot stand the blue red green stuff, never could, never will) but overall performance is not half bad..
i expected a snail like ugly brand new old windows with daily crashes and bluescreens, but (knock on wood) i have not experienced virtually any serious problems so far.. the hardware is not highend, ther is (just) 2g ram, i do heavy duty 3d modelling and rendering simultaneously with high resolution image processing and prepress.. the machine is on 24/ 7..
so..
nice surprise from microsoft.. what do you know..
=)

If you happen to use XP again, you might want to try replacing the blue & green to just piano black of the unreleased Microsoft Royale Noir theme:

Slap on a matching wallpaper while you're at it ;)

Or try an XP theme I made that's all silver. It's called Moonshine. More-or-less Luna without any color. Comes with a toolbar.bmp file also.
